New:

Monthly email newsletter of the International Coalition for the Alternative Summit in Amsterdam!

Herewith we would like to announce the deadline for contributions to the first issue of The Other Voices, the newsletter of the international coalition for the alternative summit in Amsterdam. We would be very happy to receive material from you before Friday 24/1 1997!

Between now and June, we want to send out the newsletter on a monthly basis, as a tool for information exchange between the organisations and individuals who plan to take part in the alternative summit and others who want to be kept updated. The newsle tter will be mailed to everybody in the international coalition, but to keep the costs down we will only send the paper version to those organisations who do not have access to email. The rest will receive an email version.

What you will get:

• all the most exciting latest news about the alternative summit in Amsterdam, the Dutch Coalition for a Different Europe and the EU-discussion in the Netherlands,
• news on the IGC and the Ducth presidency of the EU,
• and last but not least: news from NGOs all over Europe who are campaigning for a democratic, ecological, social and feminist Europe.

What we would like from you:

• news from your organisation or network: activities and campaign news related to European Union and Maastricht-II * news from the discussion in your country: EMU, Maastricht-II, etc.
• ideas for international cooperation.

Your contributions should be short and condensed, with contact address where people can receive more information.

A glimpse of what you can expect in the first issue:

• a report from The Other Europe, the alternative summit that took place in December in Dublin
• news on the campaign of the Dutch Coalition for a Different Europe
• updates from Spain, England, Turkey and other countries
• news on the marches against unemployment
• an agenda of upcoming international events
• a list of members of the International Coalition, now more than 100 organisations from all over Europe
